BacFix® Spinal Fixation System

 Pop it. Lock it.

BacFix is a versatile side-loading pedicle screw system which utilizes Cold Weld Technology, a proprietary closure technology which ensures stable fixation. A variety of implant types and sizes are available making the system suitable for a wide range of degenerative, trauma and deformity applications. BacFix

Cold Weld Technology: Provides a two-step, stable lock to the rod

BacFix utilizes cold weld technology to lock the implant to the rod, providing a robust interface, a coldweld, to the rod for solid fixation in two simple steps; popping the rod into the screw head, then locking the screw and rod together. This sophisticated combination is made possible by a proprietary Cold Weld Technology that utilizes a microthread structure to create a mechanical weld at the implant : rod interface without inducing any torque across the construct.

A Versatile Solution: Provides a wide variety of implants

Most side-loading pedicle screw systems rely on multiple parts creating a certain amount of “fiddle factor” added to what should be a precise surgery. In contrast, single piece BacFix implants do not require the application of a set screw; all that is required for stable fixation is a properly seated implant and a rod – 2 parts; zero fuss. In addition to a simple, intuitive implant and closure design, the BacFix system offers a variety of implants, each with an intrinsic 25 degree sagittal range of motion to minimize notch sensitivities associated with rod contouring. Finally the BacFix multiaxial screw provides some of the highest offset capacity in the industry – again, in a single, one-piece implant design.
