Recognition

Our Warsaw, Indiana site received the "Indiana State Quality Improvement Award" for our EHS Management System. In 2011, the Statesville, North Carolina site received the National Safety Council Perfect Record Award and the Occupational Excellence Achievement Award. The Ponce, P.R. site received a "Distinguished Safety Performance Award" for 2010, "Presidents Award" for 2010, and "Meritorious Improvement and Safety Achievement Awards" for 2010. Jacqueline Medina, EHS Specialist for the Ponce, P.R. site was awarded the Outstanding Safety Professional Award for 2010.The Ponce, P.R. site also received an Environmental Recognition Award for "Water Compliance Excellence" for 2007 and 2008.

The Warsaw site achieved 5,000,000 safe hours without a lost-time accident in June of 2009, and our Statesville, North Carolina site achieved 1,000,000 safe hours (approx. 2-1/2 years) in March of 2005. This compliments a number of other past million safe hour milestones and other EHS related awards.

These actions represent a strong commitment by Zimmer to manage resources and reduce the environmental footprint of our operations, while maintaining the highest standards for health and safety.
